I'm Done

Well dear friends, I think I am done.  I cannot see myself returning to cross stitch anymore.  I haven't picked up a needle in over 10 months and I honestly think the time has come to say goodbye to this dear hobby.  I feel that I am at this stage where I can't see any more making of smalls or stitching larger pieces to be framed, I think you have that feeling that enough is enough, nothing else grabs you anymore and you don't want to display anything else.  I love all my current pieces and I have some wonderful gifts on display from some of my dear friends in blogland and I will always treasure those, but I just can't bring myself to make anything else cross stitch related.
I will still work on sewing projects and applique, but I don't think I will be as prolific as I once was.

Therefore I have started to sell off my cross stitch stash.  I have already sold some fabric on a Facebook group here in Aus, however with my charts I wanted to see if any of my friends were after any certain charts before I sold them on the group page.  Obviously if you are outside Australia I would need to quote you on international postage on top of the cost of the charts.  Charts will be offered at discounted prices.
If you would like to message me with a list of charts you are after then I can look through my collection and see if I have any for you.  I have a large collection of LHN, Lizzie Kate, Prairie Schooler, Blackbird Designs, Bent Creek, Plum Street Samplers and various others.  I also have a large collection of WDW threads, Gentle Arts, Victorian Motto and other hand dyed threads.

Until next time, happy stitching everyone
Lisa

Popping in to say hi! May I offer a suggestion? Keep a few of your charts/materials (perhaps the ones you truly love). If you ever returned, then you wouldn't have to start over. By the way, I really like your header picture. Enjoy your day!

I totally understand dear friend :) I keep forcing myself to stitch but really should stop and take a break from it as well as knitting just seems more fun. I'm going to message you on FB about the PS charts as my Mom might be interested in them.

Hi Lisa, although it's a sad thing, there's also a wisdom in acknowledging that your interests have changed... indeed you have been prolific with your cross stitch and now you have a chance to develop some new skills with new types of creativity. I'm sure you'll have no problems selling your stash!

There's no patterns I'm really seeking, but I'll have a think & get back to you xx

Sorry you are not into cross stitch any more Lisa , maybe in time you may come back .
I will miss you.
I find cross stitch is good for relaxing me . It use to be knitting and I still do a little .
I also like felt work , I just can't sit infront of the TV not doing any thing .
Sometimes it is good to have a rest until you find another hobby , take care and hoping you stay in touch .

Lisa, I am so sorry to see this but I think all of us have come to this point at least once. I wish you nothing but the best with your appliqueing and sewing and hope you are still going to keep us informed of what you're up to.

Hi Lisa I haven't cross stitched very much during the last two years I Have really got into quilting and that takes up all my time. I have saved quite a few charts and fabric just in case I get the urge again xx
