Sew Sweet Simplicity BOM #1

I decided to bite the bullet and join in on Jacquelynne Steves, Sew Sweet Simplicity BOM's.  I really need to learn more quilting and patchwork techniques and this tutorial for the BOM's encourages you to try it out as the blocks are not too hard!  Oh dear, I hope not anyway.
This is my first attempt at flying geese blocks and a snowball block.  I was able to use the wonderful square templates my hubby bought for me last Christmas to cut out all the squares needed, and the instructions are soo clear and easy that I found I didn't want to put it down once I got started.  You can choose to applique (hand or machine) or embroider your centre motif.  I have decided to go with applique and I am doing it by hand, as I rather enjoy blanket stitching.

So without further ado, here is my first ever BOM.

If you would like to discover this free BOM tutorial for yourself, please click on the button in my sidebar and it will take you to Jacquelynne's website.
Until next time, happy stitching/quilting
Lisa

Not sure if my other Comment got to you, I had computer trouble, so I'll try again Lisa...

Lovely sewing on your block there Lisa, love your fabrics, good on you for joining in the BOM!
I'm doing it too - I've done the Prelim Cutting & hope to have time to sew the block on the weekend or early next week...
We can be block-making buddies!
