A Robin Takes Flight!

Hi everyone, as mentioned in my last post I had to start work and finish my part of the robin I was involved in with 4 other stitching friends.  Well I managed to get my part stitched and it is now on its way to the first person who will be stitching on it.
I chose to use the design "Live, Laugh, Love" by La-D-Da and my colourway choice is DMC 310, 502 and 221.  The design has been split evenly into four parts for the ladies to each stitch a section

I have also just finished and mailed out my exchange piece for the Stitched With Love "My Favourite Things" exchange, as soon as able I will post photos of it.

I have now returned to stitching on my CHS Alphabet blocks and completed "L" block last night.

Its my birthday this Saturday and I have already received some parcels from my stitching friends.  I shall be back on Saturday to share their contents with you all.

CHS Alphabet Progress

I thought I would do a quick post and share with you the progress on my WIP piece, Carriage House Samplings "Alphabet Blocks".
I ordered the floss for the fill in of the blocks around the words, and this is how it looks.

I really want to be stitching on this all the time, but I have to give it a little rest for a while so I can get some exchange pieces done and finish work on my robin piece I am working on.  A group of 5 of us are doing a small robin together and I have to get my part stitched up and ready to go at the end of the month.

Prairie Schooler for Me!

I received my Prairie Schooler HOE exchange from my partner Ina.
I was soo lucky to receive two very lovely ornaments from Ina.

I have them hanging on my ornament tree.  I might have to source myself another tree soon as it is starting to fill up.

In between exchange stitching I started work on Shakespeare's Peddlar "Sampler Roundy" whilst I was also waiting on some GAST thread to arrive so I could continue on with my CHS Alphablocks.  I decided on a colour for the fill in of the blocks, I have decided on just the one colour and not multiple colours as they suggest on the pattern.
